the story part 1: dwelling

The thought starts when I laid out a selection of  previously unrelated photographs, a series of pictures now related because of their position. This series was painted as a group, almost simultaneously. Marks made inform other marks, the story starts here. The artwork is entitled Part 1, as it was first in the sequence when laid out with its companions but only when read from left to right. The “story” series of paintings are all created with acrylic painted over photographic paper and enhanced with natural shaded conte crayon. Trying to connect with a more “primitive” colour scheme, ochres, ash whites and black charcoal.
